Quartz convenes thought leaders and industry experts to discuss the next wave of internet users at the multi-city series, The Next Billion, a forum on the Connected World. Events produced in Seattle, New York, London and San Francisco.
We produced, scripted, and managed all stage and tech operations for the Next Billion Conferences—five full-day events over two years, featuring up to twenty speakers, on-stage demos, and interviews, with integrated sponsor activations and experiences for companies such as HPE, Qualcomm and Huawei.
Responsibilities: Produce the Next Billion conferences, create workflow for events and hire a full time event manager. Advise and collaborate with Quartz team, including Publisher and Editor-in-Chief on event strategy, manage and produce all stage and tech logistics including vendor selection and negotiation, AV, tech team and sponsor tech management for companies such as HPE, Qualcomm, Huawei, and EY, develop and implement production script. Hire and manage external contractors.
